Our Work

In the 18 months funding period, we held 4 meetings at UCL. The first 2 meetings addressed the objectives we set up in the working group, and a report was produced to summarise our review and discussion. This report highlighted the key research priority and the potential ways to tackle them. A manuscript was submitted for publication based on the outcomes of these meetings. The third meeting provided an opportunity for researchers to discuss their research idea and form partnership for further collaborations. In the final meeting, we invited a wider research community to AirPath so that the outcomes of the working group can be disseminated and discussed further. The working group works well, and we have already seen further UK and international collaborations underway. We are particularly encouraged by the fact that a strong link was built between environmental sciences and medical research, and we raised the scientific issues and knowledge gaps of human health associated with pathogens in the outdoor air to various government agencies and industries.
